Terms and Conditions

Quotes 
Quotes are valid for seven days from the date of issue.

Deposits
To confirm your booking, we require a 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit. If a booking is made within three weeks of the event date, full upfront payment is required.

Payment secures your booking in our schedule. Non-payment of the deposit may result in your date being allocated to another client.

Work on your order will only commence once the deposit has been received based on the agreed quote and all designs have been approved by the client.

Order Confirmation
Upon receipt of your booking, you will receive a confirmation email. Please review this carefully to ensure all contact details, personal information, spelling of names, delivery or collection dates and times, and any requested changes are accurately documented.

Balance Due
The remaining balance must be paid via bank transfer no later than three weeks before the delivery date.

Cancellations and Refunds
Deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable. If an order is canceled, the deposit will be forfeited. Once the order is collected or delivered, no refunds will be issued.

Changes
Changes to your booking within 14 days of the delivery or collection date may incur additional fees, depending on the nature of the request. While we will make every effort to accommodate changes, they may not always be possible.

Delivery and Collection
Products are carefully packaged to ensure stability during transport. Clients opting for self-collection are responsible for the safe handling of their items. Cake Story is not liable for any accidents that occur after collection. We are happy to provide transportation tips upon request, but clients must exercise caution when transporting items.

For deliveries, Cake Story is not responsible for damage to the product once the setup is completed at the venue. Products should be placed on a sturdy table in a room maintained at 23°C or below. Cake Story is not responsible for damages caused by guests, caterers, or any other individuals not employed by Cake Story.

Design
Each product is crafted with care and precision to meet client expectations. However, as each item is handmade, variations in style, color, and proportion may occur. Clients requesting specific colors must provide samples for matching; however, exact matches cannot be guaranteed due to material limitations.

Refunds for design variances are not provided. Any credits issued are at the discretion of the management.

Storage and Handling
Items should be stored appropriately to maintain their quality:

  • Refrigerated items should be kept in their original packaging and brought to room temperature before serving.
  • Fondant-covered items should be stored in a cool, dry location out of direct sunlight. Once cut, products should be kept in airtight containers. Items can also be frozen for up to three months in airtight packaging.

Dietary Requirements and Allergens
Clients must inform us of any dietary requirements or allergies. While allergen-free options can be prepared, products are made in a facility where allergens are present, and we cannot guarantee they will be completely free of traces. Cake Story is not liable for allergic reactions.

Photography
Photographs of products may be taken before or after delivery. Cake Story reserves the right to use these images for promotional purposes without compensation.

Equipment Hire
A fee is charged for the hire of equipment such as cake stands. Details will be provided during the booking process.

Feedback
We strive to provide products of exceptional quality. Feedback is welcome and valued.

By paying a deposit, clients agree to these Terms and Conditions.
